Dear members,
Thank you to everyone who attended last night and those who streamed from home. As Caryl Lorandini emailed me today, “Please let the other members know that as a member of the department that was being spoken about at the last meeting. It was very heartwarming to see so many people that could’ve easily stayed home and said well they’re not in my department or it’s not in my school. Come out and show support for teachers. Unity.” This is truly, what makes the CPTA local a special organization-we have each other’s back! ...
As I stated last night, I am honored to represent all of you. It will take all of us working together and standing united to combat these anti-teacher movements. Thank you for everything you do for our students, community, and local. REMEMBER-Tuesday, 3/4/25-WEAR RED FOR ED DAY!

We aid our brothers and sisters in NYSUT statewide, in AFT nationwide, and occasionally fellow educators worldwide, not because we expect them to do the same for us if/when we are need, but because we are Union Strong, proud professionals who are responsible for the future generations.
